The Dallas Cowboys have begun “preliminary” extension talks with quarterback Tony Romo. The six-year, $67.4 million deal signed by Romo in October of 2007 will expire after the 2013 season. The Cowboys hope to ink a deal with Romo soon to lower his salary cap number will double from 8 million dollars this year to 16 million next year.
