All we heard for the whole week was “We Want Dallas” from the Commanders fan base. The (4-7) Dallas Cowboys coming in as a 10.5 point underdog defeated the (7-4) Washington Commanders 34-26 at Northwest Stadium.

Led by back up QB Cooper Rush the Cowboys managed to pick the win against their division rivals.

Rush went 24-32 for 242 yards passing with two touchdowns and no turnovers! Yet, the biggest surprise for the day was the Cowboys defense. This was the best game the Dallas defense has played as unit this year.

The defense had four sacks and two interceptions for the game, 2 sacks coming from Micah Parsons and the special teams unit shined as well. KaVontae Turpin had 4 returns for 179 yards averaging 44.8 per return with a touchdown. Teammate Juanyeh Thomas also added a special teams touchdown in the closing minutes of the game.

While it’s was a good win from a morale standpoint for regaining confidence on the playing field but did it hurt the franchise in the long run draft pick wise? Anyway, now the Cowboys now can focus their attention to the struggling New York Giants team for the annual NFL Thanksgiving game at AT&T stadium.
