The Dallas Cowboys are adding depth to their backfield by agreeing to terms with former Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams, per The Dallas Morning News.
The 24-year-old power back signed a deal worth $3 million, with incentives that could raise it to $3.5 million. Standing at 5’10” and weighing 220 pounds, Williams brings a physical presence and proven production.
After being drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the former North Carolina Tar Heel played four seasons in Denver.
During that time, he appeared in 54 games, rushing for 2,394 yards and 11 touchdowns while averaging 4 yards per carry. Known for his tough running style and ability to break tackles.
