In a gritty defensive battle, the Ohio Bobcats outlasted the UNLV Running Rebels 17-10 at Tuesday’s Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl at The Star in Frisco.
This wasn’t the high-flying offensive showcase many expected. Instead, both defenses dominated from start to finish, turning every yard into a hard-fought victory.
Ohio’s defense proved slightly sharper in crucial moments, forcing key third-down stops that ultimately decided the outcome.

The Bobcats capitalized on limited opportunities, converting red zone chances into points while UNLV struggled to find consistent rhythm offensively. A late Rebels rally came up just short as Ohio’s defense held firm when it mattered most.
The intimate atmosphere at the Dallas Cowboys’ practice facility created an intense playoff-like environment. You could feel every tackle, hear every defensive call echoing through The Star.

For Ohio, it’s a hard-earned bowl victory built on toughness and execution. UNLV showed tremendous fight towards the end but couldn’t overcome those critical offensive stalls in a game decided by a single score.
