The Dallas Cowboys made key moves in free agency, headlined by the return of pass rusher Dante Fowler Jr., who agreed to a one-year deal worth $6 million, with incentives that could push it to $8 million.
Fowler rejoins the Cowboys after a season with the Washington Commanders, where he tallied an impressive 10.5 sacks under former Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
Fowler previously played for Dallas in 2022 and 2023, adding valuable experience to a defense looking to bounce back.
The Cowboys also added running back Miles Sanders, agreeing to terms with the former Eagles and Panthers back to strengthen their offense.
Additionally, offensive lineman Dakoda Shepley inked a contract extension. Shepley, who joined Dallas in 2023 after stints with the Colts and previously with the Cowboys in 2022, brings depth and versatility.
The Canadian lineman was originally undrafted but taken fifth overall in the CFL Draft before making the NFL leap.
Meanwhile, former Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush is heading to Baltimore, agreeing to a two-year deal with the Ravens worth up to $12.2 million.
