Saturday, March 28, 2026 | 3 PM CT | Toyota Stadium, Frisco, Texas
Spring football is back in North Texas and it’s coming in hot.
The Dallas Renegades kick off their 2026 UFL home opener tomorrow afternoon at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, welcoming the Houston Gamblers for what promises to be a heated Texas rivalry clash under the afternoon sun. If you haven’t already circled this one on the calendar, consider it circled for you.
There’s something special about a home opener. The parking lot buzzing, the smell of brisket floating in from the tailgates, the freshly painted turf gleaming under that big Texas sky. Toyota Stadium is a tight, intimate venue the kind of place where the crowd noise actually matters, where opposing quarterbacks can hear the home fans breathing down their necks. The Renegades faithful are going to bring it tomorrow, and the players know it.
Dallas will be looking to set the tone early and establish the kind of physical, fast-paced identity that makes spring football worth watching in the first place. Home openers are about momentum, about sending a message to the rest of the league that this is your house and your year. The Renegades have every reason to come out swinging.
The Houston Gamblers meanwhile aren’t making the drive up I-45 to play nice. They’re a proud organization with a fanbase that travels well, and nothing would suit them better than walking out of Frisco with a win and a story to tell. Expect a chippy, competitive game from the opening whistle. These two franchises genuinely don’t like each other and that’s exactly what makes this matchup must-see TV.
Texas football at any level hits different.
There’s a passion in this state for the game that you simply don’t find anywhere else and the UFL has tapped into that beautifully. Spring football skeptics keep waiting for the novelty to wear off and it just keeps not wearing off.
Get to Toyota Stadium early, grab your seats, and soak it in. This is what Saturdays in spring were made for.
Kickoff is set for 3 PM CT on FOX. See you in Frisco.
