Nick Harris of the Ft. Worth Star Telegram and Jane Slater (@SlaterNFL) of the NFL Network reports that the Dallas Cowboys are trading a 5th round pick (No.152) to San Francisco 49ers for linebacker Dee Winters.
Winters, 25-year-old will add immediate depth to the Cowboys linebacker group. He started all 17 games in 2025 for the 49ers, recording 101 tackles, 1 interception, and one defensive touchdown.
Winters played his collegiate ball at TCU (2019-2022) where he earned CFP Semifinal Defensive MVP honors.
Overall, I feel this is a good low risk trade with potential upside for the Cowboys for the upcoming season.
