Owner Billy Corgan of the National Wrestling Alliance announced Wednesday that NWA Powerrr, the promotion’s weekly flagship show, is heading to Tubi in a brand new distribution partnership that could be a game changer for the storied organization.
Starting this week, new episodes of NWA Powerrr will drop every Thursday exclusively on Tubi, the free ad-supported streaming platform owned by Fox Corporation and boasting tens of millions of active users across the United States.
A New Stage for a Legendary Brand
For a promotion with a history stretching back over seven decades, the NWA has never been shy about reinventing itself. But this deal feels different. Tubi isn’t just another streaming home it’s a mainstream platform with a massive built-in audience that has never required a credit card or a subscription to use. For wrestling fans on the fence, that’s a zero-barrier invitation to tune in.
Corgan, who purchased and revived the NWA back in 2017, has spent years building NWA Powerrr into a throwback studio wrestling product with a devoted fanbase. The show leans into the nostalgia of old-school territorial wrestling, all cameras and ringside drama, while still delivering legitimate athletic competition. Getting that product in front of Tubi’s audience could introduce it to millions of casual viewers who might not have sought it out otherwise.
What This Means for Fans
The math here is simple and exciting. Tubi is free. NWA Powerrr is now on Tubi. Every Thursday, new episodes. That’s it no hoops to jump through.
For longtime NWA faithfuls, the Tubi deal represents something they’ve been waiting for: real reach. The NWA has always had the history, the title prestige, and the in-ring product. What it has sometimes lacked is a wide enough pipeline to new eyeballs.
Thursday nights on Tubi could change that in a hurry.
