Cowboys Add Four Extra Picks After Key Free Agent Losses
The NFL has officially announced that 35 compensatory picks have been awarded to 15 teams ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, which is set for April 24–26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Among the top beneficiaries are the Dallas Cowboys, who will receive three fifth-round picks and one sixth-rounder.
These selections come after Dallas lost several key players in 2024 free agency, including Dorance Armstrong, Tyler Biadasz, Dante Fowler, Tony Pollard, and Tyron Smith.
Compensatory picks are awarded to teams that lose more or better free agents than they gain, based on a league formula that factors salary, playing time, and accolades.
These extra picks could help the Cowboys address roster depth and reload at key positions as they look to stay competitive in 2025.
